As Americans surf the web for bargains today, their personal data -- including location data -- will be harvested by data brokers.

Alarmingly, a laundry list of federal agencies are exploiting a loophole in the law to purchase sensitive personal data, effectively buying their way around the Fourth Amendment requirement to obtain a search warrant.

Congress should act to close this loophole and prohibit federal agencies from purchasing our private information that should be protected by the 4th Amendment.

The Fourth Amendment is Not for Sale Act (HR2738/S1265) would do just that. I urge you to sign on as a co-sponsor and to include this bill in omnibus legislation.
