“Police can’t secretly fingerprint a crowd of people from across the street. They also can’t walk through that crowd demanding that everybody produce their driver’s license. But they can scan their faces remotely and, in secret, and identify each person thanks to face recognition technology.”
Congress is finally starting to wake up to the fact that face recognition technology presents grave dangers to our privacy and our First, Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment rights.
We need to make sure every member of Congress understands how this dangerous technology has been recklessly deployed across the country, largely in secret, and without any mandated safeguards or guidelines to protect us.
Tell your Senators and Representative: Support an immediate moratorium on police and immigration enforcement use of face recognition technology.
Tell Congress: No Face Recognition Tech for Law & Immigration Enforcement!
