The Constitution and the War Powers Act give Congress, not the President, the power to declare war. Tell your Members of Congress to reclaim this power by supporting the bipartisan War Powers Resolution prohibiting unauthorized US military action in Yemen.
The U.S.-backed, Saudi-led coalition’s war and blockade on Yemen, which entered its eighth year on March 25th, has driven one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world and led to the deaths of roughly 400,000 Yemeni civilians since the start of the conflict. It is also largely responsible for the fact that 16 million more have been pushed to the edge of famine.
Along with over 100 other civil society organizations, DRAD asked Congress to end the United States’ unconstitutional involvement in this Saudi war of aggression.
